How do we check a licence?
For every casino we name, we open the operator’s entry on the Gambling Commission public register, confirm it shows an active remote casino licence, record the account number, licence number and operator name, and check that the casino’s domain is listed. We note the date of the check beside the casino everywhere it appears.
How do we handle what we cannot verify?
We leave it out. For example, on the day of our last check we could not confirm GAMSTOP’s current exclusion periods from its public pages, so we do not state them. We could not confirm that the CAP Code bans the phrase “risk-free” in those words, so we do not claim it does, though we never use the phrase ourselves.
Why do we not review offshore casinos?
Because reviewing them would mean promoting them. Section 330 of the Gambling Act 2005 makes advertising unlawful gambling an offence, and many of the people searching for these sites have self-excluded. How often do we update?
